Louisiana Scholarship Program – GATOR
Student applications for the 2025-2026 school year will open on March 1 and will be available at lagator.la.gov. The deadline to apply is April 15, 2025.
Although the application takes less than five minutes to complete online or on a mobile device, here’s how you can prepare in advance: Check Your Eligibility: · Review the LA GATOR eligibility requirements to ensure you qualify. · Use the eligibility pre-screener to check your status. Please note that this is not the official application—you must still submit the full application when it opens on March 1. Gather Required Documents and Information: Residency Proof: State ID or Driver’s License + any two (2) of the below items: · Utility bill (electric, water, gas) · Mortgage statement (past year) · Bill of sale · Lease agreement Any combination is acceptable, including two (2) different utility bills Income*: · 1040 Tax Form (2023 or 2024 Federal Taxes) Student Documents: · Child’s Birth Certificate Other Necessary Information: · Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) (Parent/Guardian) · Social Security Number (SSN) (Each student applying) · LASID Number (for special education students; this an be found on the valid evaluation and/or IEP developed by a Local Educational Agency.)
